2006 Fund Raiser
Beginning the end of March 2006, CISDE will be initiating a fund raising appeal. This appeal will go on through April in the hope of bringing in much needed capital funds. Donations of $10 or $10,000 will be greatly appreciated. In order to make this fund raising even more appealing, we are going to offer some very nice premiums for donations of $100 or more. Read on!
A few of you know that Dr. Hungerford has, for years, been a Five Star Nature Photographer with the Photographic Society of America. His awards include ribbons and medals from places like Australia, Argentina, Canada, England and various nature competitions in the United States. Through the years he has kept a low profile in the photo world, while at the same time, illustrating a number of the CISDE publications distributed by Stipes Publishers.
This fund raising venture which will use both his talents and those of photographer and artist Eric Johnson. They have been busy converting many of Dr. Hungerford’s best photos into digital files which render superb prints, some up to 13 X 19 which is the limit placed on them by the Cannon printer they are now using.
So . . . we are posting a series of images on the website (and an additional one on the right-simply click on the thumbnail to attain a larger version) and hope that all of you will view each one. A CISDE watermark has been used to keep pirating to a minimum. It will not be a part of the actual print that you recieve in the mail. If you see an image you like (or know of one not represented on the web site), we will ship you an 11 X 14 print of it for a $100 or greater donation. If you want tips on framing inexpensively, we can provide those for you as well. Should you want a framed and matted print sent, we will need to charge you an additional $50. The CISDE website is www.cisde.org.
You can call us at 618-457-8927 or 549-9865. Our email address is: cisde@midwest.net or hrh@cisde.org.
We do hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to help CISDE dramatically and, at the same time, receive one of Dr. Hungerford’s photos.
